If I'm not mistaken, only South Korea and Japan have scored off free kicks in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. In their match versus Denmark, Japan notched two goals with free kicks, one from the foot of Keisuke Honda and the other from the foot of Yasuhito Endo. Both quality strikes, take a look.
Honda is quite a player, not only can he score but he can dribble and set other players up, as he did for the third goal. Right now, he plays for CSKA Moscow, but if he keeps playing so well in the World Cup, I'm sure he'll end up in a bigger league, perhaps the English Premier League. English teams always like to grab good Asian players, as they help sell jerseys in their home countries.
