Watch Lionel Messi humilate Royston Drenthe in the video below. Don't feel too bad Mr. Drenthe, Messi does it to nearly everyone on the football pitch.
But still, it does look pretty funny. Especially when Drenthe tries to mimic Cristiano Ronaldo and do a thousand step overs and then forgets the ball. Messi recovers it and performs a series of amazing pull backs before dribbling off and then cutting back again on Drenthe just because he can. Take a look.
Drenthe and Messi have a bit of a history as well. At least from Drenthe's standpoint. He accused Messi of being a racist. He didn't like the Messi called him "negro", which in Spanish means black and is commonly used in South America. However, Drenthe thought Messi was saying it a negative way:
"You know what really bothers me? That tone with which he always called me 'negro, negro'.
"I understand that it is very common in South America, but we cannot stand it. Mahamadou Diarra, my team-mate at Real Madrid, would explode when people called him a 'negro'.
To me, I think Messi just cares about playing football and didn't mean anything by it.
