Surely the company behind hotshot is reaching out to Alyssa Thompson about doing some kind of commercial, right. Or at least a testimonial!
The No. 1 overall draft pick for Angel City FC suffered a cramp and was given a hotshot drink to cure it. Apparently it doesn’t taste very good, as you can see from Thompson’s reaction. But Thompson wasn’t the only NWSL player to drink the terrible hotshot drink. Michellee Cooper also got cramps and tried a hotshot.
The muscle cramp treatment 'HotShot' is "taking names" in NWSL.
KC's Michelle Cooper & Angel City's Alyssa Thompson recently had a taste of the "super spicy" treatment, which gets rid of cramps by overwhelming nerves in mouth & throat, stopping signal to cramped muscle. 🤯 pic.twitter.com/kGl1dGxxxW

The hotshot is a bit spicy and has a kick. I wonder if they will be using this cramp cure during the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. I would assume it is going to be pretty hot and humid.
While Thompson has already been signed by Nike, the young forward could be the breakout star of the World Cup. Of course as long as she stay hydrated and doesn’t have to resort to taking a hotshot too many times!
Take a look at the journey of Alyssa Thompson’s path to stardom shifted into hyper-speed. Thompson put in the work to get where she is today. Training with her sister when she was younger. Doing soccer drills setup by her Dad.
However, if a world class footballer and forward like Erling Haaland drinks a drink that tastes horrible too, maybe it’s a good thing. I believe it is more of an energy drink though and nothing about stopping or preventing cramps.
Young players, stay hydrated so you don’t have to suffer like Alyssa Thompson and drink the spicy hotshot. Of course you know there’s going to be a player who wants to drink the hotshot and will act like it doesn’t effect them at all.
