João Félix chips ball over the on rushing Roma keeper. It took Félix just 12 minutes in a AC Milan jersey to score his first goal. Plus, the Mexican international Santi Giménez earned the assist on his debut, with the through ball to Félix. It’s early, but looks like two brilliant news signings for AC Milan.
Watch João Félix chip the keeper in the video below. There was no panic or hesitation in what he wanted to do. No matter that he’d just come on the field at the San Siro. The goal sealed the win for AC Milan 3-1, and put them into the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.
Félix takes a touch, sees on coming goalkeeper Mile Svilar, and dinks the ball up and over his shoulder and into the goal. And Félix even does the Stephen Curry good night celebration.

Additionally, the AC Milan management already want to keep João Félix longer than just a loan spell. AC Milan director Moncada said: “Keeping João Félix here? It will depend on João and on us. There are always chances, even without a buy option clause. We’ve an excellent relationship with Chelsea so… we will see”.
Furthermore, what’s funny is João Félix kind of needs a Christian Pulisic like resurgence from his time at Chelsea. Don’t forget that it was Chelsea who let Pulisic leave, only to see him thrive in Italy. However, this could be detrimental for Pulisic in terms of playing time. It was Pulisic who came off for Félix.
Although Pulisic has been in a terrific run of form, and is constantly feeding teammates for goal scoring opportunities. Perhaps João Félix will just be another AC Milan player who Pulisic sets up for goal scoring chances. That would make AC Milan management very happy.
Overall, João Félix is a very interesting football player. Someone who really should be a star. Even one of the best players in the world. He’s incredibly creative and skilled on the soccer ball. But he is just not found the right team or fit in at the right team. He was very successful at Benfica and Atlético Madrid. Yet his transfers to Chelsea and Barcelona did not work out.
Finally, João Félix it’s only 25 years old. He still has plenty of time to make a name for himself and become a world-class player. At times, Félix looks like Neymar on the soccer field – he’s so good and clever, as this chip and goal demonstrate.
Although it’s hard to say if it’s finding the right team he needs or he just has to be more consistent.
