Breaking news: One of the best passers of the soccer ball is coming to the MLS. Sergio Busquets to Inter Miami to join up with Lionel Messi.
A while back, when Apple TV soccer analyst Taylor Twellman talked to David Beckham, owner of Inter Miami, they talked about how all he had to do was say the word Miami in negotiations with European football players.
But really, who wouldn’t want to come to the sunny city and play soccer?
I wonder how many assists Busquets will rack up? I wonder how much Inter Miami’s possession tally will increase? There might be a game where Busquets doesn’t lose the ball the entire 90 minutes.
Although, will an opposing MLS team try to man mark Busquets? Or Messi? It would be fun to see them try if they do.
Also, I still say, for young soccer players, it might be even better to go to an Inter Miami training session. Watch Messi and Busquets practice. To see how they control and dribble the ball up close. It would be cheaper too, what with Inter Miami tickets skyrocketing in price.
Additionally, if you’re a young soccer player who is on the skinny side, you’ll identify with Busquets. You’ll see that someone as skinny as Busquets can still become a top player.
Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets are said to make their first appearances for Inter Miami on the 21st of July versus Mexican side Cruz Azul at the DRV Pink Stadium.
Now Messi will have someone he knows at Inter Miami with him.
Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets played together for Barcelona 𝟓𝟔𝟕 times. That’s a lot of games! And all those games translate to 700 hours together on the pitch. Now Messi will have someone he knows very well at Inter Miami with him.

Famously, former Spain manager Vicente del Bosque said this about Sergio: “You watch the game, you don’t see Busquets. But if you watch Busquets, you’ll see the whole game.”
The tricky thing for Inter Miami and their coach is to integrate Messi and Busquets into the team in a way that works. Basically, you’ll need a few midfielders to do all the dirty work so to speak – the running – for Messi and Busquets.
Of course, what’s good, is you have two genius playing for your soccer team now. Players who want to share the ball and are the opposite of selfish footballers. They should blend in nicely, to say the least.
Moreover, Jordi Alba also is in negotiations with Inter Miami to join his former Barcelona teammates. Now all they need is Luis Suarez.
