Federico Chiesa First Goal for Liverpool

Federico Chiesa Goal for Liverpool

Chiesa goal for Liverpool. I had forgotten that Liverpool even had Chiesa in their team! He’s been out injured for so long. Moreover, I’m still in disbelief that Juventus even let him leave. He’s such a purely Italian style player.

I guess the question still remains if he is the same player he used to be after the ACL tear. Hopefully with this goal he’ll get a confidence boost and show the player that he is and has been for Italy and Juventus in the past. His ability to float up and down the wing is fun to watch.

The Chiesa goal is still a goal, of course. Even though it comes in the 2024-25 English FA Cup, Third Round, versus Accrington Stanley. Additionally, it is a confident strike from long range by Chiesa. Liverpool’s new manager Arne Slot said it was a good first step for a Chiesa, but referenced that it was against division two side.

The goal comes in the 90th minute. A strong right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner of the goal. Excellent shooting technique by the 27 year old Italian footballer.

Overall, that’s perhaps what soccer fans and pundits forget. He is in the prime of his soccer career at 27 years old.

The question remains though if he can succeed in the rough and tumble English Premier league. However, he has proved himself in international football and in the Euro Cup. He helped Italy win the 2020 European Cup trophy.

Finally, hopefully this Chiesa goal will be duplicated by him multiple times in the coming games for Liverpool. Certainly helps to have someone like him coming in off the bench in big games against tired opposing teams.
