Pulisic’s Stunning Volley

Pulisic stunning volley

Christian Pulisic delivered a stunning volley for his sixth goal of the season with AC Milan. A perfectly whipped in cross from Theo Hernández found Pulisic, who’d made a darting run into the box.

Pulisic showed his athletic ability to get up in the air and latch onto the ball with the inside of his foot. He’d timed his run perfectly to get to the ball, but still had to stretch to reach it. Video below jumps right to Pulisic’s stunning volley.

What a tremendous season Pulisic is having this year for AC Milan. He is tireless. Always running and asking for the ball. His confidence is sky high you have to say. He’s certainly playing his best football in Europe.

With a brilliant inside-of-the-foot strike, Pulisic sent the ball soaring into the far corner, leaving Fiorentina goalkeeper, David de Gea, with no chance.

But AC Milan would lose the match. Moreover, they would miss two penalty kicks in the match. Pulisic is supposed to be taking these penalty kicks according to the AC Milan manager.

Plus, it is a Pulisic while falling down pass that led to the first penalty.

Despite being the designated penalty taker, Pulisic was not called upon to take either of the two penalties in AC Milan’s 2-1 defeat against Fiorentina. Tammy Abraham had his right footed shot saved in the bottom left corner. And Theo Hernández had his left footed shot saved in the bottom right corner. Two genius saves by David de Gea.

Milan’s manager, Paulo Fonseca, expressed his disappointment, stating, “Of course I am upset that players changed the penalty kick taker. Christian should take penalties. It must never happen again, and I told the players.”

Additionally, moving forward, Pulisic needs to be more assertive in demanding the ball during crucial moments. He is Milan’s penalty taker.

Christian Pulisic has never missed a penalty for club or country (including Milan) in his career before with a 10/10 record.

Finally, just how many goals is Pulisic going to score this season. Could he score 10? What about 20? He’s certainly on a goal scoring tear. Furthermore, if he starts taking penalty kicks, he can more easily add to his goal scoring in tally.
