Fabián Ruiz volley strike for Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final versus Arsenal. Ruiz hit the volley with such power that Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya had no chance. While the shot glanced off defender William Saliba, the ball was always going goal bound.
Ruiz, the Spanish midfielder, has had a tremendous year for Paris Saint Germain. Usually it’s controlling the midfield and keeping the ball. Here though he steps up and takes his chance and rips the soccer ball into the back of the net. Watch the Fabián Ruiz volley in the video below.

Ruiz helped Spain win the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany. During the Euro tournament he played 542 minutes played and had a passing accuracy of 90.17%. And he’s now translated that good play into his time with Paris St. Germain.
It is really a screamer of a volley from Ruiz. One that he won’t forget scoring.
Player rating for Fabian Ruiz (8/10) via Goal.com:
“Another classy display from the Spaniard, who broke the deadlock with a thunderous strike from the edge of the area.”
Along with midfield geniuses Vitinha and Joao Neves, Ruiz makes up what many say is the best midfield in all of Europe. Paris St. Germain have shown they can keep possession of the soccer ball for long stretches, as well as counterattack when needed.
Moreover, they know to get to the ball to the feet of their most dangerous players as often as possible. And those are wingers Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé. Two players who defenders hate to see charging at them on the dribble.
Paris St. Germain now go on to play Inter Milan in the final of the Champions League. Two incredibly good teams will face off in what has been a terrific tournament overall.
