Formally known as the Joe Strauss Memorial Tournament which ran for 15 years the new name of the Memorial Day Soccer Tournament to be held at the Fish Hill Soccer Complex in Coventry, RI will now be known as the G4S Challenge Cup. After 15 very successful years the family of Joe Strauss decided to no longer run the Memorial Day Soccer Tournament. However; Steve Marmas who started with the Joe Strauss Tournament back in 1996 and was the Tournament Director for the past 8 years, has decided to run the tournament under the Goals 4 Sports Banner and rename the Tournament to the G4S Challenge Cup.

The Bryant University soccer program has announced that it will hold two 7 v 7 soccer tournaments this spring. The Tupper Cup will be held on Sunday, March 29th while the Bickford Bowl will be held on Saturday, March 21st. The Bickford Bowl will be open to u12 and u13 girls teams while the Tupper Cup will be an open tournament. Games will be 26 minutes in length, and each team will play a minimum three games. The fee will be $150/Team per tournament.

I would like to invite your club to participate in our annual Goal 4 Rams Six-on-Six Soccer Tournament. The Tournament will be held at the University of Rhode Island on July 25th & July 26th. This tournament is the last tournament of the year and is a great opportunity to get your players ready for the Fall season.
The age groups include under 9 & under 10 boys and girls, which will play on Saturday only. Each team will play at least 4 games and there will be no results recorded.
All other age groups; under 11, under 12, under 14, under 16, and under 19, will be guaranteed 3 games on Saturday with the consolation, semi-finals and finals taking place on Sunday.

The 2009 Kick It Tour Schedule has been announced. Kick It will be touring the country throughout the tournament season, making stops to nearly 60 cities, with over 45 Local Events, more than 10 Regional Championships Events, and capping the Tour with the 2009 Kick It 3v3 Soccer World Championships, January 16-18, 2010 at Disney’s Wide World of Sports ® Complex, near Orlando, Florida (USA).
