| Watch Inter Milan’s Adriano punch Gastaldello in the stomach on a corner kick play. After hearing about this I was actually expecting much worse, a lot goes on when a corner kick is taking place, but for Adriano, who’s had his troubles already this season, he gets caught and goes to far with the boxer like punch.
Sure, there’s a lot of pushing, jockeying for space, and even pics being set when a corner is taking place. However, a cheap shot, or cheap punch to the gut is beyond the game. Gastaldello was smart not to react and throw a punch, as he would have been tossed out of the game straight away. Adriano actually notched the goal in the game, to lead Inter Milan passed Sampdoria. He received a 3 game ban though after the punch was caught on camera. Mourinho was also thrown out of the game after arguing with the referee. |
