David Beckham to Train with Arsenal

Beckham Training Arsenal

David Beckham training with Arsenal you say. You must be joking. This is a prank, right. That would be a very strange sight, seeing Beckham in Arsenal gear…I mean what does Alex Ferguson think of all this. Is this because of that time Ferguson hit Beckham with a shoe…

Arsenal, who was once David Beckham’s nemesis while he was playing for Manchester United, is now where Beckham is training during the winter as it’s close to his home in England and he strives to reach 100 caps for England.

He sure knows Capello from his days at Real Madrid. Capello said one of his biggest mistakes at Real Madrid was leaving Beckham out when he came on board, but realized he was too valuable for the club and Beckham was reinstated after his solid training and dedication.

Real Madrid went on to win the league title. But it sure is a bit odd, or will be, to see Beckham training with Arsenal. Why not play for a club over there during the MLS break? Could you imagine Beckham suiting up for Arsenal and facing his old club Manchester United?  There’s no way he do it.

David Beckham is expected to train with Premier League club Arsenal early next year to prepare for the Major League Soccer season.

Beckham would likely use the club’s training facility, which is close to his English home, before the Los Angeles Galaxy begin their season on March 29, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Friday.

“We will help him to get fit and prepare for the season,” Wenger told BBC Radio. “There’s a good chance that he will come in January, but it’s not decided.”

Beckham is hoping to play his 100th game for England on Feb. 6 in an exhibition against Switzerland, the first match for new coach Fabio Capello.
