Clint Dempsey has a little bit of No Country for Old Men in him being from Nacogdoches, you know Texas strong and all. But this side by side picture of him and Anton Chigurh is a bit too close for comfort. I mean the resemblance is uncanny. Yeah, I do think that Dempsey could scare a few people if he wanted. He’s intimidating at times!
And if you look at how Dempsey is playing soccer these days for Fulham, scoring goal after goal nearly every time he steps on the pitch, he certainly is a killer. These days though everyone is wondering when he’ll move on to a bigger club and play in the Champions League. Should be soon hopefully.
Today versus Newcastle, a team who stands at sixth in the league table, Dempsey scored a hat trick. He’s clearly the best American soccer player to ever play the game. I’m sure there will be a young American to step up and exceed his European soccer exploits, but not anytime soon.
