Arsenal’s David Luiz comes on as a substitute early in the game after an injury to Pablo Mari and had a part in two goals before he was sent off. First, Luiz let a Kevin De Bruyne cross slip off his thigh or chest area and fall into the path of Sterling and then he pulled down Riyad Mahrez in the penalty box and earned a straight red card.
The horrendous 25-minute stretch on the soccer pitch by David Luiz earned him a player rating of “1/10”. What did Luiz do to earn that one point in his 25 minutes of play? I guess he made a few passes and perhaps a tackle or two!
Has a soccer player ever received a player rating of zero in the English Premier League?
Incidentally, Luiz contract is due to expire in two weeks. His agent is probably in a panic over David Luiz’s 1/10 player rating.
Highlights of the game right this way in the video below. It’s one that David Luiz will want to quickly forget. Manchester City cruised past 10-man Arsenal behind goals from Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden.
