Turkey’s 2-1 win over Austria puts them through to the next round and a quarter-final match versus the Netherlands. Apparently, in the locker room after the game, Arda Güler was even celebrating the win with the traditional Turkish dance. Guler will have a sensational match versus Holland if he’s feeling it like it seems he is.

It is a good sign when a young player wants to take chances. Shoot from near midfield, why not. Besides, it shows his confidence. Plus, this is not the first time Guler has tried to score from long range either. For Real Madrid, Guler nearly scored a long distance goal versus Osasuna.

Moreover, Guler is being fouled as he dribbles the ball in the above video. The referee though gives him the advantage and allows play to continue. Perhaps the referee sees that Guler is going to escape from the pressure.
Real Madrid manager Ancelotti said this about the young Adra Guler:
“Arda Guler? Patience is needed. It’s true, he needs minutes but sometimes the game, the team and the moments require different choices. I trust Arda, I’d like the fans to see and enjoy his talent…but his time will come. Patience”.
