What I like about this goal by Thierry Henry is how calm he is on the soccer ball. It’s as though he saw the play taking shape before it happened. What a legend Henry is and it’s kind of amazing that he’s playing in the United States for the New York Red Bulls.
Henry of course makes it all look very easy, cutting the soccer ball away from the defender and then playing two gives and goes before striking the ball up and over the keeper. Just a nice goal. Take a look. This is how you finish. Yes, Henry did this for years for Arsenal and that’s why they built him a statue. If I was an MLS player or playing for the Timbers I’d surely think about getting Henry’s jersey after the game!
