Maybe it’s Messi’s first of the three that’s his best. Just because of the way Luis Suarez back heels the ball to him. But then his third goal is brilliant too. The way Leonardo Compana scoops the ball forward to Suarez, who has to make a leaping effort to square the ball back to Messi.

Messi hat trick is amazing because he came on at the 57th minute. How many goals would he have scored if he played the entire game? Or maybe that’s his role in the future. Just coming on and playing 20 or 30 minutes and sliding home 2 to 4 goals. I’m only half kidding, it could happen.
What stands out above all about Messi is how he’s always looking to shoot and score. There is a method to the way he attacks in soccer. Twisting and turning and driving forward with the soccer ball. It’s always with the intention to set someone up with a shot or score himself. A couple short passes and all of a sudden he opens up an angle to shoot.

Besides Messi’s hat trick, as soon as he came on and was given the captain’s armband, he played a clever chipped pass to Alba, who then set up Benjamin Cremaschi for the goal that put them up 3-2.
What’s so fun about watching Messi play is the way he combines with other players and plays those short little passes. He shares the ball. He knows that he can always get it back. And he doesn’t stop running to get in the box on the third goal. How was Messi so wide open at 37 year old years old?
But understand it must be easily deflating to play against players like Messi and Luis Suarez. The two together, enjoying a mate tea before the game and then going out and demolishing their opponents.
They deserve this though. What a way to end their soccer careers. What an education and influence they’re giving all the Inter Miami young players, and the MLS as a whole. They are all brilliant footballers.
Inter Miami should probably raise their ticket prices. To see Lionel Messi play is priceless and I know that’s been said before numerous times, but Messi keeps doing incredible things.
Moreover, Messi keeps doing incredible things with Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba. The way these former Barcelona players combine is just a joy to watch. Again, Messi’s hat trick versus the New England Revolution comes after they were behind 2-0. And Messi didn’t even start the match.
I wonder if Cristiano Ronaldo came to the MLS and played. Would he do what Messi has done? In other words, could he combine with his teammates to win titles and achieve records. There’s no doubt he would score a ton of goals, but there is the question if he would adjust his game and play well with his teammates. However, perhaps it’s not really fair that Messi brought over his Barcelona contingent.
