Rooney Signs 5 Year Deal with Manchester United

In a crazy turn of events, Wayne Rooney has agreed to sign a new five-year contract deal to stay at Manchester United until at least June 2015. Just a few days ago Alex Ferguson gave this press conference, where it seemed that there was little chance that Rooney would stay. Ferguson appeared shocked and dismayed by Rooney’s sudden desire to leave.

Rooney’s salary per week: £250,000 ($400,550)

The agreement follows heated discussions between the Club and the player’s agent (Paul Stretford) and representatives and means that by the end of his contract Wayne will have been a Manchester United player for 11 years after he joined from Everton.
