|Let’s take a look at five or six things that every right back should work on, whether training on their own or with their team. These are things that a right-sided defender will execute on a regular basis throughout a game and things they should focus on. Let’s say these are the fundamental aspects of playing the position of right back in soccer and if you’re someone who plays that position, these are things you’ll want to perfect.
And in today’s modern game, outside backs or right backs have to know how to get into the attack. No longer do defenders stay back and just play defense. Outside backs function almost like wingers in the modern game of soccer, flying up and down the wing to serve in cross. Alves had a brother like partnership at Barcelona with Messi and now plays with Paris Saint-Germain with an equally good relationship with Neymar and Verrratti.
