Arsene Wenger’s Motivational Handout

The full text of Arsene Wenger’s motivational handout for his Arsenal teams is below. You have to say that Wenger did change the style of soccer that was played in the English Premier League. Before Wenger were there teams that kept possession of the ball so well but also could play direct soccer? Certainly not as many teams as there are now.

Today in the English Premier League, almost every football team has both with skill and possession and plays direct counter attacking style of soccer at times. Wenger deserves credit for that change to the English game. It was his Arsenal team that inspired or really forced other teams to adapt and change their style of play.

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was a visionary on the football / soccer pitch, he changed the game and is still considered a mentor by the world stars who played for him and in Monaco he was honored with the 2019 Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award.

Wenger Quote: “When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.”
