Bonkers Skills by Dimitar Berbatov

Berbatov skills: A barefoot Dimitar Berbatov still has it at age 42. Berbatov smashes the soccer ball against a wall and controls it with ease with the inside of his foot, his thigh or his instep. He varies how hard he hits the ball to make it more game like. And don’t forget he’s barefoot!

It is an absurd level of touch and skill from Berbatov. He is keeping the soccer ball up in the air while smacking it against a wall. He’s not letting the ball hit the ground! Again, he’s barefoot!

If you’re a young soccer player, find a wall and start hitting the soccer ball on the ground and build up your skill level until you can do it a few times in the air. You’ll be surprised how much progress you make if you put in time with the soccer ball and the wall.

When people talk about first touch in world football, they mention footballers like Zidane or Ronaldinho or Messi, but Berbatov’s first touch is magical. I don’t think people realize just how good he a footballer he is. I mean he’s smashing the ball against a wall and juggling it.

Sure, he had a successful run with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs, but home country of Bulgaria never had a good run in the World Cup so maybe not as many people know his skill level.

Early on in his soccer career, Berbatov played in German for Bayer Leverkusen. Scoring 69 goals in total. Thankfully Berbatov is still kicking the soccer ball around and trying to teach young players about the game.

Watch Berbatov pass the ball against the wall at pace in the air and juggle it. Also, it is not just one wall Berbatov is using. He switches to another wall nearby all the while keeping the ball aloft. It is no wonder that young players want to learn how to play like Berbatov.
