Fulham needed four goals to beat Juventus in the Europa League match after Trezeguet scored in the first two minutes, but a red card to Cannavaro reduced Juventus to ten men and gave Fulham a life line. Dempsey made the day magical with the winning goal.
Dempsey said: “I just thought, what the heck and tried to put it in the far post and it went in.” Dempsey has scored a few big goals for Fulham. In his first year with the side, he got the winner against Liverpool that enabled them to stay in the Premier League. And don’t forget to listen to Ray Hudson’s call of Dempsey’s goal.
