Eric Cantona looks at Brazil’s lineup formation for Nike Soccer. Personally, I’d love to see any team come out and play a 1-1-8 lineup formation! Brazil have so much Ginga, with every player have skill and touch on the ball, that the lineup or formation doesn’t really matter. Every player can score goals or win tackles or make their opponents look silly if they try to dive in and win the ball off their foot.
So yeah, let’s get rid of the standard soccer formation that is the 4-4-2 and move to an all out attack with the 1-1-8 formation!
