Messi Free Kick Versus Real Madrid

418 0

Not only is this Lionel Messi free kick extra special because it comes in an El Clasico, but also because it put Barcelona in the lead. Although it was only for a short while until Cristiano Ronaldo scored and matched Messi’s two goals. But what makes it even more special, and worrisome for Messi and Barcelona opponents, is that the free kick was from nearly 35-40 yards away.

Messi is becoming as dangerous on free kicks as his former teammate Ronanldinho around the box. And if Messi keeps it up, which is likely, his free kick ability might be compared to or on par with David Beckham. Not good news for other teams when the best player in the world adds free kicks to his bag of tricks. Look at the reaction by Messi. He’s very happy and so are the nearly 100,000 plus fans at the Camp Nou.
