Lionel Messi Surrounded By All 9 Chilean Players

During the Copa America final, Lionel Messi didn’t have much room to work as Chile made sure there was always a defender nearby. In fact, at one point, after a Chilean player received a red card and they were playing with ten man, all nine field players surrounded Messi or at least had their eye on him. There must be an Argentine player open to Messi to pass to, right?

Of course, it’s not the first time an opposing team has tried to surrounded Messi and not give him any space. Benfica tried to do the same thing to Messi in a game versus his club team, Barcelona. This time thought it was Messi surrounded by 10 players. Yeah, they still couldn’t stop him. He’s the best player in the world.
