DFW Tornados

DFW Tornados

The DFW Tornados was founded as the American Eagles Soccer Club in 1990. It now has 25 select teams, a "Tiny Twisters" program for 3-5 year olds, an academy for 6-9 year olds and a men’s professional team. Our club is one of the largest in the DFW Metroplex and has earned a reputation for placing our players in collegiate soccer programs.

Tryouts are held annually, in July. Camps and Skills Clinics are held throughout the year to help players prepare for tryouts. We currently have teams playing in the Dallas Chamber Classic, Lake Highlands, Arlington and Plano leagues.

The DFW Tornados Congratulate Jay Needham and Daniel Woolard!
The DFW Tornados Semi-Professional men’s PDL team sent 7 players to the United Soccer League (USL) Professional Combine. The Tornados had the most players invited to the combine of any of the 62 Premier Development League (PDL) teams in North America!

Head Coach Paul Robinson and owner Jim Mertz are very excited that the Tornados are able to provide the opportunity for their players to play professional soccer.

Jay Needham and Daniel Woolard are two of our players who took advantage of this opportunity. Both are heading to Major League Soccer (MLS) teams. Needham has been drafted by D.C. United and Woolard has been drafted by Chicago Fire.
