When thinking of an advertisement related to soccer you probably think of Nike. They’re the first company to really create commercials that were less about the product and more about a feeling or an emotion. One of Nike’s first ads might just be the Brazilian team at the airport. Later, there was their Ginga campaign and Ronaldinho hitting the cross bar, and now they have ads with Cristiano Ronaldo racing cars. Of course the ads main purpose was to build the brand of the company and sell shoes, but the ads were also there to uplift those watching and get them to go out and start training, preferable with their Nike gear. Many companies begin to follow Nike’s style, creating ads that were more like mini-movies, at times funny and clever or inspirational. Take a look at some of the ads below, from Nike to Gatorade to Pepsi to Adidas.
