John Terry has had a difficult 2010, as the fall out from his affair with the girlfriend of his former best friend, Wayne Bridge, became the talk of the English Premier league. However, the Chelsea fans stuck by him and he helped reward them with the EPL league title in the end. Terry is one of the rare few professional soccer players who wear Umbro soccer cleats. I’m sure he’s paid a pretty penny to stick with the brand, as Nike and Adidas would be happy to have him endorse their shoes, even if his image is tarnished after the scandal – and then stripped of the England captaincy. And he’s probably lost a few endorsement deals this year because of the scandal. Umbro though has stuck with him and in the image below Terry is wearing a pair of all white Umbro cleats. |
