Adebayor Sparks Near RiotI don’t think Adebayor is going to be welcomed back at Arsenal when Manchester City plays at Emirates Stadium. After scoring against his old team he runs the length of the field to celebrate at the feet of the visitor’s section. A near riot ensues with bottles thrown and fans rushing towards the field. The good thing though is Arsenal and Manchester City don’t play again until April 10, so fans can cool off a bit, but I don’t think fans forget things like this.
“It was silly to run up in front of the Arsenal fans. But these people have been insulting me all game. Even in the warm-up they were insulting me. They were saying things that are not nice to hear, personal things. “I didn’t plan it, not at all. I didn’t even know that I would score. The way things were going from the warm-up, at the end it came into my head. I would like to apologise to the steward for what happened, why not?” |
