David Beckham Tears Achilles Heel

Beckham tears achilles: Surgeon who has operated on David Beckham said it will be four to five months before he is able to even run again. Beckham’s effort to play in one more World Cup for England has come to an end after he tore his Achilles heel in an AC Milan match versus Chievo. You can clearly see Beckham is gutted and in a lot of pain after tearing his achilles heel – one of the toughest injuries to come back from in soccer.

Beckham went to tremendous lengths to have a chance at playing in the World Cup, from transatlantic flights to play in friendlies when he first signed with the LA Galaxy to joining AC Milan on loan so he could play top flight European football. He did everything he could to put himself in the best position to play for Capello’s side.

It was quite a week for Beckham, from great highs to the lowest of lows. He played at Old Trafford against his former team and received a very warm welcome from the home crowd. He nearly scored on a first time volley – a cracker of a shot that would have brought the house down if he’d scored.

Now, it looks like Beckham must set his sights on returning to the LA Galaxy in three to four months, and forget about his World Cup dreams. However, amazing things have happened, look at Charlie Davies, who nearly died in a car accident, and is hoping to make a return to French Ligue 1 football and play for the U.S. national team.

Perhaps there’s still hope for Beckham. And knowing what kind of person he is, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he fought back and worked tirelessly to make it back in time for the World Cup. However, in truth, and sadly, right now it appears like his World Cup hopes are over.

Beckham maybe should have know it wasn’t going to be a good day for him. He sustained a cut on his cheek after a challenge.
