Cristiano Ronaldo Free Kick Versus Villarreal

Cristiano Ronaldo Free Kick Versus Villarreal

There isn’t a better free kick taker than Cristiano Ronaldo. Here Ronaldo steps up and smashes the ball into the upper corner. The way he steps up to take the free kick it looks like he’s going to bend the ball over the wall and into the other corner. But Ronaldo strikes the ball more with power and the ball bends and dips just a little bit before arriving into the upper corner. If there’s one thing Ronaldo does with all his free kicks, it’s nail the center of the ball so it moves and confuses the keeper.

Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates after scoring a goal against Villarreal during their Spanish first division soccer match at Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid February 21, 2010. Ronaldo’s shirt reads "Madeira", in reference to the floods and mudslides that have killed at least 42 people on the resort island of Madeira, Portugal.
