When the cross is better than the goal…? While Robin van Persie’s diving header of a goal was amazing, incredible really, the cross by Danny Blind was equally brilliant. Two Manchester United players who are certainly missed right now. The Dutch connection.

Notice how Blind doesn’t follow through but stops short when he strikes the ball. Wonderful goal all around. The Dutch connection. Poor Iker Casillas has no chance as the soccer ball sails over his head. Beautiful goal made possible by a perfect cross.
