David De Gea Save Versus Chelsea

With the game tied 3-3, Manchester United fighting back as usual from 3 nil down to tie the game, Chelsea’s Mata stepped up in injury time to whip in what would have been the game winning goal. And Mata bent the ball into the upper corner. However, his Spanish countryman, who’s been getting a ton of flack from the critics this year, and even losing his starting place for United, made the save of the year.

This save will do wonders for his confidence.

Alex Ferguson had this to say about the save:

“The save from the free-kick was unbelievable, it was a fantastic save. He’s played his part. We see the talent in the boy, and in three or four years’ time we’ll see all of it,” Ferguson said. “Today he showed he’s prepared to get amongst it, he did a great job.”
