Inter Milan Beats Barcelona 3-1

All four goals in this game come from wonderful passing sequences. Barcelona’s first goal is a thing of beauty, as Maxwell dribbles to the end line and cuts the ball back to Pedro.

However, Inter Milan didn’t take long to rally back and answered with three smart goals themselves. The return leg at the Camp Nou will be a high energy affair, as Barcelona now need to score 2 goals to advance to the final.

What’s amazing about the game, and considering that Barcelona lost, was that they still had upwards of 71% of the possession.

Mourinho was happy to bunker down towards the end of the game and let Barcelona pass the ball around the top of the box and counter. I just don’t know if that’s going to work in the next game with 90,000 fans screaming for Barcelona.

Goal summary:

19: Pedro ( FC Barcelona)
30: Sneijder ( Inter Milan)
48: Maicon ( Inter Milan)
60: D. Milito ( Inter Milan)
