Julian Alvarez’s Double Hat Trick

I’ve never even heard of the double hat trick until now. It just doesn’t happen too often. Not three goals like a usual hat trick but six. So Alvarez got not one game ball after the match but two! Can Alvarez score a double hat trick in England this next year?

Yes, that’s right, Alvarez scored the double hat-trick versus Alianza Lima in the Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores. Alvarez is set to join Manchester City for the upcoming English Premier League season. He will join up with Erling Haaland of course in the new attack for Manchester City. Hopefully he’ll get enough playing time to settle in to the club and scores goals, maybe not six, but even one hat trick would be welcomed by Pep Guardiola and Manchester City fans. Of course playing time will be hard to come by with some many quality forwards now at City.

Argentinean River Plate thrashed 8 – 1 Alianza Lima with a superb performance by Julian Alvarez who scored six goals (15’, 18’, 41’, 54’, 57’ & 83’) in probably one of his last matches at El Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires. The other two goals were scored by Santiago Simón and Elías Gómez. River qualified at the top of the Group F while Alianza did not make it to the next round.
