Three world class volleys was the story in this game. The hype surrounding this game was all about David Beckham returning to the MLS. Would he and Donvoan get along and play well together? How would Beckham fit into the team after being away? Would Bruce Arena start him right away? All these questions were answered and more with an early goal by Alecko Eskandarian. The Galaxy may just fight for the MLS title, especially if they’re firing in goals like the ones from Eskandarian, Donovan and Eddie Lewis. If they Galaxy does turn into a winning side this year, what’s Grant Wahl going to call his next book? The Galaxy are on a four game win streak, and the only thing that could stop them is if they all of a sudden had to play some top European sides. Which they do, as they face Beckham’s old or current side team, AC Milan and then the Champions League champs Barcelona.
