Oh, there was also that time that his hair got caught in his eyes when he was crossing the ball. While that might not be an injury, it did have some pain in his eye for a brief moment.

Just kidding around about the hair episode, but there were certainly a lot of times that Beckham spent brushing his hair during game that I’m sure upset Alex Ferguson. I’m sure Ferguson told him to stop bleaching his hair and just cut it off.

Still though, while Beckham takes a lot of abuse for maybe the celebrity type stuff he does off the field, he will go down in soccer history as one of the best passers of the ball and certainly one of the best crossers of the ball the game has ever scene.

Here’s video of when David Beckham tore his Achilles tendon while playing for AC Milan. Doesn’t look like much at first but you can tell Beckham is in a great deal of pain and knows he can’t continue playing on it. Here’s what Beckham said about his injuries and retiring from the game.

“I don’t regret the decision to retire. My body was losing its edge. I was taking longer to recover from injuries. You have to get out at some point.”
