What’s the most passes in a soccer game that leads to a goal? Manchester City make 44 passes in a row before scoring against Manchester United. Yes, it comes towards the end of the game but still pretty embarrassing for their hometown rivals. Yet it’s not the most passes in a row for Manchester City when they’ve scored….they made 52 passes before scoring against West Bromwich.

It’s amazing how quickly Manchester City closed the gap over the years with the likes of the top soccer teams in the world, from Barcelona to Bayern Munich to Real Madrid. In the conversation of best soccer teams in world, you’d now have to say Manchester City is near the top, and in large part thanks to Pep Guardiola. It’s midfielder Ilkay Gundogan who nets the goal after 44 passes.
