Messi’s Four Goals Versus Arsenal

155 0
It didn’t take long for Messi to answer Arsenal’s opening goal, and then he added three more. He’s rightly been hailed the best player in the game and perhaps ever, and he’s just 22 years old. What can you say? It’s a pleasure to watch him play.

What is scary about Messi, and not just that he’s so young, but he seemed to only be getting better and better. And in this Champions League match, he seemed more like a leader, trying to rally the crowd after he scored the equalizer. But his third goal, a teasing scoop shot over the keeper brought the Camp Nou house down. I think I’m going to have to see play Messi live at least once in my lifetime, and hopefully very soon.

At his current pace, with 39 goals, Messi could easily score 50 goals this year. This weekend Barcelona head to Real Madrid for El Clasico. Man, will Messi do the unthinkable and score three against the Cristiano Ronaldo led Real Madrid side? He very well could. Just watch.

After they were paired together in the round of 16, watch Lionel Messi’s masterclass against Arsenal from the 2009/10 season when he scored four goals as Barcelona beat the Gunners in the last eight at the Camp Nou.
