Skills Training on Your Own

What do you do if you can’t make it to the soccer field? What do you do if you don’t have a lot of room in your house to play soccer? Well, that’s easy, just try some of the skills training exercises by Viet Nguyen. Nguyen is an artist with the soccer ball and an amazing dribbler.

Viet Nguyen is a former professional player for the Seattle Sounders. Now he’s the youth soccer director for the Greater Renton, Washington Football Club.

These training exercises are all about getting more comfortable on the soccer ball and improving your touch. The exercises are very similar to Coerver Coaching drills – which focus on touch and ball skills.

The more time you spend with the soccer ball on your own the better you will get it. Yes, it’s that simple. Do the work and you’ll reap the rewards in the future. Juggling or dribbling the ball with your weaker foot might seem hard at first but you’ll slowly improve if you put the time in with the soccer ball. A lot of these skills are Coerver like soccer skills with the ball.
