Alvarez Pull Back Trick

Alvarez pull back trick: It is not often you see this move in a real live game. This pull back trick is often more just a soccer trick that’s used in training. Here though, Alvarez uses this pull back move to escape pressure in a game for Manchester City.

Sometimes you’ll see players do this pull back trick to pass to a teammate. Again though, not often you’ll see a player beat a defender with this pull back trick. Watch the Julian Alvarez pull back trick below.

The defender rushed in only for Alvarez to pull the back while almost simultaneously passing the ball forward again with his other foot. Which makes sense, Manchester City are always moving and chasing direction in the tightest of spaces on the soccer field.

So far, in the 2023-24 English Premier League season for City, Alvarez has eight goals and nine assists. Plus, five goals and two assists in the Champions League. With Erling Haaland being injured of late, Alvarez has stepped up and scored some big goals for the City team. Which is why Pep Guardiola said: “He’s a guy with a sense of goal. He is almost undroppable from the team.”

Amazingly, at just 24, Alvarez has already won everything. He’s a World Cup winner, Champions League, English Premier league, and so on. He’s going to have to have an entire room dedicated to just his trophies when he retires.

But Alvarez is still hungry and wants to get better. Every game he plays in it almost seems like he has a new move or technique he’s working on. Like this pull back move at the top of the goal box.
