Stuart Holden on Good Morning America

I think the MLS was hoping to keep Stuart Holden, and make him their U.S. spokesman for the game, as he’s not afraid of the spotlight, as you can see in the GMA video below. But, it looks like Holden is going to try to play in the EPL with Brunley:

Dynamo chief operating officer Chris Canetti told FOX 26 Sports:

‘Stuart is going on trial with Burnley, a club in the English Premier League. What that means is he will train with Burnley and play in some of their reserve games and the team will then decide if it wants to sign Stuart.’

Where Holden would end up playing has been the talk and wonder for American soccer fans for the past few months. Many were hoping he’d stay in the MLS, and especially Houston Dynamo fans, but a lot of people realize that it’s best for the kid to move on to bigger and better things.

The MLS was even going to make him the ‘max out player’. At 24 years of age, Holden’s future looks bright, let’s hope we see him facing up against Manchester United and Chelsea and the other big EPL teams. This will only help build up Holden’s confidence for the World Cup in June.
