The Alex Morgan Workout

What does an Alex Morgan training session look like? Women’s national team soccer star Alex Morgan is incredibly fit. Yes, that’s pretty clear when you look at her – she has strong legs and core muscles and is extremely fast. You can tell she takes care of herself not only throughout the soccer season but also during the off-season. What type of workout routine does Morgan do, besides the Yoga and the work with the soccer ball? She certainly does a lot of core work. Take a look at Alex Morgan’s workout routine in the videos below.

Watch how Morgan tries not to laugh while she runs through a series of exercises to build core strength and speed. At least it seems like when they’re filming some of the videos below. It’s as if Morgan is on the verge of laughing, take a look for yourself. What do they say though, laughing is an excellent way to increase core muscle strength. One thing to keep in mind with Alex Morgan is she had to be determined about becoming a top level soccer player. Even Morgan had coaches early on that told her she wasn’t going to play.

“Around the age of 14, I was very discouraged from a coach. It was my first youth club team while playing soccer. She told me at the time that I wasn’t good enough to play on the team, that I would never get into the game.”
