I’m guessing a lot of MLS team are going to be jealous. Not many MLS teams have a home anything like this. Seattle and Toronto maybe, but teams without a home, like Houston and San Jose, won’t want to leave Red Bull Arena when they play there. No more turf either to deal with for incoming players.
Opening day at Red Bull Arena ushered in a new era of MLS soccer, as a sell-out crowd and a storied Brazilian franchise welcomed the New York Red Bulls to their new home.
To those in attendance, thanks for making our opening night an unforgettable one. For those who were elsewhere, we can’t wait for you to join us.
Seriously, tonight was a great time and there are many more to come.
