Tim Cahill is sent off against Germany. He trips Schweinsteiger not once but twice. Just before this tackle he kicks at Schweinsteiger heels, perhaps that’s why the referee showed Cahill the straight red card. It’s hard to catch in the video below but see if you can see it. A tough call though after a few viewings, think it might be a bit harsh. Would it have changed the outcome of the game? No.
