Antonio Valencia Breaks Ankle

Very, very sad for Valencia, who is a workman like player for Manchester United. He’s a true professional, as they say, who does his duty game in and game out for Manchester United. He is someone United can count on to get down the line and whip the ball in. And he’s also someone who can get back to make the tough tackle on occasion. He’s a team player.

There was no foul, the tackle wasn’t intentionally malicious, just looks like Valencia fell awkwardly after the fair slide tackle and the damage was done. This wasn’t not a harsh tackle by the Glasgow Rangers player. Never like to see this on the soccer field. Hope he can recover quickly.

Update from Manchester United website: Valencia could miss the entire season due the ankle break.
