David Beckham’s Sons Under Pressure

David Beckham’s Sons Under Pressure

You think it’s hard when your trying out for a new soccer team. What if your dad happens to be the one and only David Beckham. That could put some added pressure on you to say the least. And that’s what happens to Beckham’s sons, when soccer coaches have extra high expecations when any of them are trying out for their youth teams.

At the same time though, sometimes those expecations are good. Players rise to meet and exceed expections. Plus, Beckham’s sons are going to train and play with the best soccer coaches and players in their age bracket – if you can handle the pressure it will only make you better in the long run. It make take some time to adjust at first, but in the end you’ll only get better when you’re challenged and under pressure.

David Beckham has revealed there is already pressure on his children to follow in the footsteps of their sports star dad.

The footballer – who is father to sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, Cruz, seven, and 12-month-old daughter Harper with Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer wife Victoria – told Esquire magazine people expect his sons to be football champions like him.

David said: "There’s a lot of pressure on them. They go for try-outs and people automatically think David Beckham’s son is going to bend the ball in the top corner at the age of six."

But he added: "They’re very confident kids. They take it in their stride."

It helps though when your dad plays for PSG and you get to go to training and mess around with the ball with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
