Flamengo’s Deivid de Souza Miss of the Year

Over in Brazil, Ronaldinho’s football club Flamengo lost a chance at appearing in the final of the Rio de Janeiro tournament the Guanabara Cup in large part to Deivid de Souza’s open goal miss. The game was tied at that moment and Vasco da Gama went on to win the match and move into the final.

After the match Souza said his 5 year old son could have scored that goal. And he’s right.

This could be the miss of the year if not the miss of the past decade. Kids, don’t feel too bad if you miss a breakaway or a clear goal scoring chance, even the pros miss now and again.
