Is Heath Pearce the Lead Singer of the Killers?

Heath Pearce is supposedly playing for F.C. Hansa Rostock in Germany’s 2nd division, but is he also the lead singer of the rock band The Killers? The Killers do have a sports angle, one of their songs refrains was part of a Nike commercial leading up to the Olympic games in China.
