The Best Soccer Camps List

Since soccer camps are often the first introduction to soccer for many youngsters, it’s important to choose a camp that does more than just babysit. For young kids, just starting to play soccer at ages anywhere from four to six years old, soccer can become a passion rarely quickly —one that takes up their time in a constructive, positive and healthy way.

Making soccer something they love and want to master, whether it’s juggling, dribbling or bending the ball around a wall, a soccer camp is great investment into not just your child’s soccer future, but their well-being. Attending a soccer camp helps kids improve their skills on the ball and gives them direction on what to work on when they’re on their own with the soccer ball. Camps are also an excellent way to explore playing for a new club or team that’s offering a camp or a college program that might be a school they’d like to go in the future.

Types of Camps

Day camps. Usually operate on a week-by-week basis. Look for shorter day soccer camps near where you live. Often soccer clubs will offer these two or three hour day camps throughout the summer.

Residential soccer camps. Attendees stay overnight. Often at colleges or universities. Meals are typically included.

Community camps. Sponsored by a local organization for a short period of time. Usually less expensive than the above.

Position-specific camps. Focus on training attendees in a certain position (e.g. goalkeeper, forward, etc.).

Advanced camps. More intense, thorough and competitive than most. Usually residential.

Soccer tours. International soccer tours are ideal for boys and girls youth soccer teams, high school teams and or academy, club, ODP and university level soccer teams. Just traveling to another country to play soccer is an incredible experience.

International soccer camps. Would you like to become a better soccer player and also visit a new country? Take a look at camps abroad that offer quality coaching and let you explore a new culture.

How to select a soccer camp. There are a wide variety and types of soccer camps to choose from, whether it’s a residential camp, where you stay overnight, or a day camp, which can be half day or full day. And there’s also the level of play at the soccer camp, from elite camps to ones for beginners.
