Top American Soccer Players Weekly Salaries

What do the top American soccer players make per week? This list is essentially all the American soccer players who will or have a strong chance of playing in the World Cup in Qatar in 2022. Pulisic of course tops the salary list by a wide margin with Dest coming in second. Sure, this doesn’t take into account taxes, which vary in each country they’re playing in, but it’s still interesting to look at what wages they make each week for their respective professional soccer teams.

As a reference, Lionel Messi makes $1,135,199 per week playing for Paris Saint-Germain.

Perhaps the most underpaid American soccer player is Musah, who makes $22,414 per week playing for Valencia in La Liga. He’s such a key player for the United States national team in how he’s able to win balls and dribble at player too, it wouldn’t be surprising if he gets picked up after the World Cup by a bigger team if he plays well. Tim Weah’s weekly salary at Lille is $10,646, which for his quality seems kind of low. Perhaps a good showing in the World Cup could enable him to join a bigger club and earn a higher salary.

And interestingly, a few players playing in Europe right could most likely make more money per week if they played in the MLS.
